Syfter was founded in 2017 on a simple position: US-based recruiters, US-based talent, no offshore operations, ever. When AI made fake candidates an industry, that position became the foundation for something bigger.
Most staffing firms chased margin offshore. Syfter went the other way, exclusively onshore from day one, betting that companies would always pay for talent they could actually trust.
Then generative AI broke the resume. Fabricated profiles, proxy interviews, real-time interview bots, by the mid-2020s, hiring managers were interviewing candidates who didn't exist as presented. The industry's answer was to add more screening software. Syfter's answer was to put a human back in the loop and document everything: the five-point verification protocol, completed live, on every candidate, with a signed Trust Guarantee and a timestamped Certificate of Completion as the receipt.
That protocol became Syfter Certified, and Syfter Certified became the standard our clients now hold every vendor to.
